Finance – Accounting Internship

PlanITROI’s services enable companies to address the environmental and data security compliance challenges associated with the recovery and disposition of retired IT assets such as laptops, desktops, monitors, and servers. PlanITROI refurbishes and remarkets these IT assets to consumers, businesses, schools and others by the thousands and provides its clients with a maximum return-on-investment on their retired assets.

This is an opportunity for an energetic junior/senior Accounting or Finance major that desires to be involved with all finance-related aspects of our growing company. This accredited position represents an opportunity to gain experience in to all areas of accounting and finance. Activities and responsibilities include:
• Working with QuickBooks
• Entering invoices
• Processing vendor payments
• Cash application tracking
• Assist in creating Returns Material Authorizations
• Interoffice communications – developing accounting department requests
• Report preparation
• General administrative support
The ideal candidate for this position will report primarily to the Senior Financial Analyst who will provide hands-on training in the broad spectrum of finance. Only enthusiastic candidates that enjoy a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment need apply.
This is an unpaid internship opportunity, but we do offer expense reimbursement for travel and lunch, and daytime hours flexible to your college courses. This opportunity could turn into a part-time paid position during the summer.

Public Relations Specialist – Writer, B2B, Part-Time

Public Relations Specialist – Writer; Part-time
PlanITROI has an opening for a skilled public relations and business writing professional that can drive awareness of the company’s brand and IT asset management services. The right candidate will have B2B category experience: researching industry trends, news, and competition; writing features and news relating to a company’s business, and contacting trade and business media through multiple channels.
This is a part-time position (20 hours a week) that could expand to a full-time position. The position requires that most of the time be spent in the office. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver smart, well-written, features and news releases, on-time, to both online and print media
• Recommend, prepare and present story concepts and by-lined articles to media contacts
• Manage media relations
• Research and monitor industry news and provide summary analyses to management
• Track and report on competitors’ news stories and activities
• Follow industry related blogs and forums and provide commentary
• Grow the media contact list and manage news distribution
• Contribute content and update news on several company websites
• Support the web manager and expanding social media activities
• Assist with the company’s monthly internal news update
• Draft award submissions for environmental awards
• Assist with drafting collateral materials as necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years driving and implementing public relations activities for a B2B company, either in an in-house capacity or as an agency representative.
• Technology category experience is desired.
• A track record of success helping to build business through increased awareness and lead generation
• Great written and oral communications skills
• Proven ability to represent a company and its management with the media
• Bachelors Degree in communications, marketing, business, journalism, or technology category
